Adrenal Fatigue? Spot the Symptoms and Fix it Quickly.

Adrenal fatigue is a term connected to a collection of nonspecific symptoms, for example, body aches, fatigue, anxiety; sleep imbalance and digestive problems. The term often appears in prevalent health books and on alternative medicine sites but is not an accepted medical diagnosis.

Your adrenal gland creates a collection of hormones that are essential to life. The medical term adrenal insufficiency (Addison’s disease) alludes to inadequate production of at least one of these hormones because of an underlying disease.

Your body’s immune system responds by slowing down when you’re under pressure. Your adrenal glands, which are little organs above your kidneys, respond to stress by releasing hormones like cortisol. They regulate your blood pressure and how your heart functions.

According to the hypothesis, if you have long-term pressure (like the death of a relative or a serious illness), your adrenal organs cannot continuously deliver the additional cortisol you have to feel good. So adrenal fatigue sets in.

Signs and symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue:

Adrenal Fatigue, as a debilitating condition, is not recognized by conventional medicine and is hence missed by most conventionally trained physicians.

The Three Stages of Adrenal Fatigue

There are three phases of adrenal fatigue. Each one is associated with a different sort of cortisol inequality, and typically people progress from stage 1 to stage 3 successively over time.

Stage 1: Wired and tired

This stage is described by high cortisol levels, especially at night, leading to insomnia, insulin resistance, and abdominal weight gain. Individuals often feel invigorated but in an edgy “wired” way.

Stage 2: Stressed and tired

In this stage, many people wake up at early hour in the morning (often around 3am) and cannot fall back asleep. Later in the day, some stressor kicks in, and they feel more awake. Their cortisol tops early, flattens out, but often has an early afternoon or early evening rise.

Stage 3: Burnout

This stage is represented by exhaustion regardless of hours dozed, a flat cortisol bend, and sometimes low DHEA and thyroid hormone levels. My friend’s patient was in stage three — an unsafe place to be because it has linked with a higher danger of autoimmune disease.

How to fix adrenal fatigue

Because adrenal fatigue is a response to a prolonged state of stress or exhaustion, it cannot quickly retreat. Fixing adrenal fatigue takes time and relies on a number of factors.

Making the following lifestyle changes – and committing to them in the long-term – is the best method to reverse this condition and appreciate better health once more.

Build rest into your day

Lower Stress

A high level of stress is the main cause of adrenal fatigue, so reducing stress as much as plausible is a logical step on the way to recovery.

For some, exercise is a fantastic source of stress relief, as are meditation, massage, and quality sleep.

It’s also important to take time every day to do things you appreciate, whether that’s reading, gardening, cooking, or just listening to your favorite song on the radio.

Follow the adrenal diet.

This means getting free of foods that you are sensitive to and nourishments that cause inflammation and eating bunches of brightly colored vegetables, lean clean protein, and whole grain gluten-free carbs.

In my friend’s patient’s case, this implied eliminating dairy, which it turned out she was delicate to, eating more vegetables, and eating more carbs.
